What is Alpha-hydroxy? (AHA)
Alpha-hydroxy acids (AHAs) are a group of plant-derived acids used in a variety of skincare products. These include daily anti-aging products, such as serums, toners, and creams, as well as occasional concentrated treatments via chemical peels.
There are six types of AHAs commonly used in products. These include:
- citric acid (from citrus fruits)
- glycolic acid (from sugar cane)
- hydroxycaproic acid (from royal jelly) **We do not use this as it is not VEGAN**
- lactic acid (from lactose or other carbohydrates)
- malic acid (from fruits)
- tartaric acid (from grapes)
AHAs are primarily used to shed dead skin and regenerate skin and cell growth
They can also help:
- promote collagen and blood flow
- correct discoloration from scars and age spots
- improve appearance of surface lines and wrinkles
- prevent acne breakouts
- brighten your complexion

AHA can help visibly brighten skin

Directions:
Apply a small amount to neck and face on freshly washed skin, morning and night. For best results: Use wash the face, use toner, use serum, then apply the face cream in the evening. In the morning, just apply moisturizer only.
