CBD is a great addition to an array of snacks and foods for your next holiday weekend party or BBQ.

CBD can help reduce a hangover and can help you to feel happier and in the party mode. CBD has been proven to increase certain neurotransmitters like serotonin leading to a happier more relaxed crowd.

CBD BBQ Sauce

A light tangy and slightly spicy BBQ sauce. Goes well with ribs or steak. Can be added to hot dogs. Keeps for 2 weeks in a tupperware container in the refridgerator.

Ingredients:

  • 2 grams Isolate CBD or 1 Full dropper of Hempstrax 10,000mg Cinnamon CBD Tincture
  • Ketchup – 4 cups of your favorite ketchup as the base in this recipe. I like Trader Joe’s organic ketchup
  • Apple Cider Vinegar – helps add tang – 3 – 5 tablespoons.
  • Brown Sugar – just 1/2 cup of brown sugar not only helps sweeten the sauce but deepens the flavor adding just a hint of molasses flavor.
  • Honey – use a couple of tablespoons of your favorite honey. You can use maple syrup instead
  • Worcestershire sauce – this balances the sweetness with savory flavor in the sauce. I like to use 5 tablespoons
  • Meat Seasoning – we love a good steak pepper powder
  • Lemon Juice – A tablespoon of fresh or bottled lemon juice adds just the perfect amount of acid to this sauce to make it perfect.
  • Hot Sauce – I love a spicy BBQ sauce – I add 3 tablespoons.
  • Paprika – ¼ teaspoon
  • Dry Mustard – ½ teaspoon

Blend all ingredients (except the CBD). Blend for 30 seconds in a blender. Heat on the stove on high for 15 minutes. Allow to cool. Stir in CBD. Great to use on the BBQ rib recipe.

CBD Herbed Potato Salad

This is a great mayonnaise free recipe for BBQ’s and parties. It’s a healthier lighter choice.

Ingredients:

  •  2 pounds small red potatoes, washed and sliced into ¼-inch thick rounds
  • 1 tablespoon fine sea salt
  • ¼ cup coconut or olive oil
  • ⅓ cup of chopped fresh flat-leaf parsley
  • ⅓ cup of roughly chopped green onions. You can use purple onion instead
  • 2-3 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
  • 2 teaspoons Dijon mustard
  • 4 cloves garlic, roughly chopped
  • Lots of fresh ground black pepper, we use 2 tablespoons
  • 3 stalks celery, chopped
  • 1 cup of light Greek yoghurt or sour cream

Cook the potatoes at a low roiling boil for 15-20 minutes. Drain. Add to a bowl. Allow to cool for at least 45 minutes. Mix all other ingredients and gently toss with the potatoes. Garnish with more parsley. Refrigerate for 2 hours before serving. Top with more black pepper
